Tonight in Seattle:

The debates are over! Long live the debates!

Did everyone see the third and final Presidential debate last night? Ya know, the one that was actually a debate, where the fabulous Bob Schieffer asked actual questions and pressed for answers?

Anyone have any comments to share about the debates in general? Myself, I wonder how I'm going to spend my time come three short weeks from now, once I don't need to obsess about 538 and Pollster and Gallup and Daily Kos all damn day.

I think I'll start listening to (and writing about) a lot more indie pop. How about you?

Here's a visual treat for you while you contemplate all those free hours of Internet prowling time we're all about to have (courtesy of Slog).

LOLBama!

Can someone please talk me down. I'm now 100% convinced that the election will be stolen because this is just too easy. I just want to hide in a cave and let the nasty GOP vampires do their dirty work.

Poor Erik. Would it make you feel any better if I told you even RedState.com said McCain would lose today?

Let's be brutally honest. Barack Obama is going to win the presidential election, and probably by a lot. We'll avoid recriminations and "I told you so"s and second guessing here. Let's just face the reality. Obama is trading at 84 on in-trade. Overnight quickie polls show the public overwhelmingly thinks Obama won last night's debate - which probably has less to do with any "objective" scoring and more to do with the fact that folks have simply decided to vote for Obama. Obama has more cash than McCain and independent groups are spending more in his support than they are in favor of McCain. Obama's national lead is in double digits in many polls, and per Real Clear Politics, Obama leads in every - that's EVERY, as in all - battleground states. His leads in Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Minnesota, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, even Colorado, Virginia, and Florida, are all outside the margin of error.

So Barack Obama is the next president of the United States...

Did that help?

The key is that Obama would win "today". We got 2 weeks to go ... two ugly ugly weeks.

This will be closer than it seems now.

Yes, I'm terrified of what may happen in the next 2.5 weeks too. That's why I keep watching this animated gif over and over...

I fear the undecided voters will go the way of 'Joe the Plummer.'

What was all that about anyway? Is he going to have a mid-season FOX reality show now? Be Paris Hilton's BFF? Start palling around w/ Flavor Flav? Seriously?! Everyone's been losing their minds today: he's related to Charles Keating? Not even registered to vote? A republican? An alleged wife-beater? What next? He probably paints himself 'red' when he goes to see the Buckeyes play at the Horseshoe.

Anyway, who throws the football in the front yard w/ their kids anymore? There's no way his business makes more than $250mil if he's tossin' the pigskin with the munchkin in the middle of the afternoon I tell you one thing! He's a right-wing plant I tell you!

Gah! I'm ready for this to be over and get back to music as well.

Hahaha, "Joe the plumber" isn't even a licensed plumber and isn't a member of the local plumber's union, both of which are required to do plumbing work in the Toledo area. Just another one of these shifty guys who do substandard work and then whine about how the government makes it hard for people like him. What a fuck-tard; I hope the city building inspectors go after his ass.

The funny thing to me is that Joe the Plumber has been going on every single show that will have him and talk about how he wants low taxes but doesn't bother to pay his taxes. Why does it matter if they are low or high?
