Tonight in Seattle:

Super group rumor Sunday night?

So now a little bird told me that TWO mystery Sub Pop guests will be appearing at the Sunset show on Sunday night. The whole thing starts at 4 PM but it could go into next week considering a LONG AGO signed S-P group will be appearing with the other mystery group later on. I hope this weather keeps up because this is going to be CRAZY!

So this Sunday? 4pm?

Must be the two Sup Pop bands that played at the Sunset a couple of nights ago.

Mudhoney has a new record that is coming out on Tuesday and with J. Tillman already on the bill, it seems like it would make sense for the Fleet Foxes to also be playing (and they probably can't announce any shows they're playing since they're already playing Sasquatch next weekend).

It's actually The Legend (Everett True) and Terry Lee Hale, I swear to freaking gawd. I hope this stops the party-pooping speculation!

I thought it was party starting speculation - but even if I was correct (and that's doubtful - no one is telling me any of these rumors - I get my gossip the old fashion way: making it up myself) it still won't get me to skip the Tokyo Police Club show on Sunday night.

Plus, the Sunset isn't going to book the same two bands twice in the same week, regardless of who they are.

How's that? ;-)

To be honest, any show that ChrisB is headed to is probably where I want to be. Because you are the man with the Plan when it comes to good bands, comrade. : )

Hope you're out having fun in the sun today! I have a bunch of stuff to blog but I can't imagine the TIG ladies "spending warm summer days indoors, writing frightening verse ..." like I am right now.

Yeah we've got tix to TPC as well. Looking forward to it but for whatever reason this show hasn't been mentioned much on local music blogs. I'd rather see them than Mudhoney or Fleet Foxes, though.

@chris estey -- I am indoors, too wilted to write. How's that for relishing the record-breaking heat wave??

so who was it? :)

nirvana.

tad + zumpano... wild stuff!
