Norwegian quartet Lukestar just released a new record, Lake Toba. The falsetto vocals of boyscout Truls Heggero coupled with ethereal guitar-driven pop give it a Mew-esque (okay... very Mew-ish) likeness. Early praise from P4K and the NME streaming of Lake Toba prompted US label Flameshovel to pick them up for the state's consumption.
Lukestar has a woodsy adventure-like video out, with the bandmember's heavily sweatered and indie-rock homely in their threads. They'll be touring in support of their gold album (in Norway anyway) all the way up until the much-anticipated SXSW graces us next spring.

igShrie - Norwegians Like Sweaters is the best band name ever! I must either go start my own band or convince some posse to take NLS as their name. Just think of the t-shirts they could design with that cute moniker!

it certainly is a very catchy, and indie-rock elusory style name.
