One of the reasons I love the TIG is that I'm part of a community of like-minded music fans all across the land. However, since many of you are concentrated in the upper left-hand corner of the U.S.A., I've recruited some new writers from the upper right hand corner, plus one from the upper middle. In addition to my new recruits, I've seen some other new faces (er, handles) around here lately. So I thought I'd open up the floor for some introductions. Who's new, who's where, and who's got the funk?

I believe the children are our future. Also, I am a rock n roll spy in Boston.

I would be that one new recruit from the "upper middle" (read: Chicago). I plan to report on all things middle-esque with a fair and balanced bias towards music that rules.

Well, I'm working on being a new recruit. Seattle by way of Texas, I'm not sure if you'd consider that middle, upper middle or backwoods.
My eventual goal is to convince people that electronica is NOT all bad and that it does NOT all sound like a flashing multi-colored rave.
I also have a son, also known as Clem the dog. He likes to take me on walks.

I'm not a recruit. But I am an intern for Sound magazine. At least for the next 2 days. And then I'm a free agent, looking to do some more writing.

I'm new-ish and haven't introduced myself as of yet - but I'm in the upper left corner, so I don't know if I count, as far as this blog goes!
heather b. - Texas transplant to Seattle and lover of all things Scottish...whoop whoop

I have a puggle named Falcor. I don't believe humans have souls at birth, but can develop them from having close relationships with cute furry animals. I'm in THIS BAND and work in the audio dept of an eminent Boston-based video game developer.

You may have noticed that some of the new recruits are taking over the iPod Roulette this week while Erik Gonzalez is away at Space Camp or wherever he is. Yesterday, the sleepwalker rocked the spin; today it's Adamo; keep checking all week for more new imaginary iPod spins!

I'm in eastern Mass. I love Canadian indie rock, not on principle, but just because they are putting out the best stuff these days. Also I like electronica/hip hop fusion like Four Tet...
