This week, Seattle's Steel Tigers of Death! are playing two very noteworthy shows, both official album release parties: one is a band-stacked-for-a-great-cause Funhouse extravaganza, and the other a Neumos-hosted history-making punk rock event!

This Friday, April 22 at The Funhouse is a Benefit for Japanese Red Cross, where SToD! live-premiere songs from their new Precious Moments album, playing with Android Hero, Rat City Ruckus, Poop Attack, and Warning Danger.

Steel Tigers of Death! are known for kicking out the jams in costumes and props as thoughtful as their often-satirical protest tunes. So it's no surprise that Precious Moments album is a delirious, dizzying fun-house ride through the gamut and mind-gobs of the hamster cage we call American pop culture. Songs like "American Cougar Invasion," "Thriller 2," "Theme From Breakfast At Terribles," and a snazzy cover of Echo & the Bunnymen's "Do It Clean" make it one of the tightest acts of (occasionally hilarious) rock terrorism in many years. Get into the Funhouse show with a donation of $7 - show starts at 9 PM.

Then SToD! will be part of a triple threat bill with Deadkill opening for OFF! Sunday, April 24 at Neumos, with doors opening at 7 PM, and advance tickets for $12. The deal of a lifetime, as SToD! will rock your widdle world, but then look at this line up for headliners OFF!: Keith Morris (Black Flag/Circle Jerks), Dimitri Coats (Burning Brides), Steven McDonald (Redd Kross), Mario Rubalcaba (Hot Snakes/Rocket From the Crypt). Sounds better than any ol' Sunday night TV Party you'd otherwise have!

Seattle's sonic abusers Steel Tigers of Death! donate their first Album Release Show to charity, while their opening for OFF! is just the freaking local punk rock group coup of the year.
