Tonight in Seattle:

KEXP premiering metal show, Seek and Destroy, Saturday at midnight

It's sort of embarrassing to think about what I was listening to before I had the epiphany that I hadn't yet posted anything on KEXP's brand new metal show that premieres Saturday night (tomorrow) at midnight.

The show is called Seek and Destroy and it'll be making ears bleed on Saturday nights/Sunday mornings between the hours of midnight and 2am. It'll be co-hosted by Hannah Levin, host of the local music show Audioasis (Saturdays, 6pm-9pm) and great friend to TIG, and metal expert Tanner Ellison.

Of course, you can find KEXP at 90.3 FM in Seattle and online at kexp.org. And now wherever you find evil.

This should be a much better showcase for Ms. Levin's DJ talents. I'll miss sonarchy, but I imagine I'm one of the few who will. ROK!
Sonarchy's moving to Sunday nights, and, as always, podcast/streaming archive after that.
Does anyone even listen to Sonarchy?
@3 - Yes, but I'm guessing the overlap between Sonarchy listeners and "sparkly indie-pop" fans is minimal.
Commenting on Veloria and Levi's comments-
I don't really listen to sonarchy. I have to agree with Levi that I probably fall into that "minimal overlap".

However, I do appreciate that Kexp has shows like that and this new metal show because even if it's not what I'm that in to, I know there are a good amount of people out there that are in to it.

I think the station would get too repetitive if it was all variety all the time, so I'm all for the eclectic shows (wo-pop, sonic reducer, swingin' doors, etc).
Here here John in Ballard!
